Dell computers

If you are planning to buy a personal computer, a Dell computer would be one of top notch brands that you may wish to consider. When I was working on my Masters degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, my supervisor gave me a GX280 Desktop PC. Windows XP Professional was already installed on this machine. I had to partition the hard drive in order to install Fedora Core 2.This was necessary so that I could be running my NS-2 simulations on the Fedora Core 2 while I do my day to day PC work in the Windows environment. Even though this machine was dual boot, its performance was excellent. I really liked that Dell machine. Now that I graduated, I really miss that Dell machine. And the specifications of the recent Dell machines show that these machines are becoming better and better.

Computer jargon and specifications can sometimes seem a bit bewildering if you are not a technical person. In order to save you from this mess, Dell provides a glossary of common computer terms will guide you through the technology jungle and help you choose the computer that's just right for you.

Finally, I would like to urge Dell to consider reducing their prices in order to grab the emerging market in Africa, where clones are having a field day due to their lower prices.
