The Particle Swarm Optimization based Street Lighting Simulation project
Supervision of Final Year projects is one of the things that I am enjoying at the moment.I am glad to have a found a team of two intelligent and hard working young men who are working on an Optimization project. They are developing a Particle Swarm Optimization based model for the simulation of the design of a traffic lighting system. These young men have come up with an exciting mathematical model which will serve as the objective function for the PSO process. Although they are yet to find the results and do the analysis, I can see that theirs is the right approach.I am already thinking of writing a paper with them. If all goes well, we will submit this paper to the IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI 2008) which will take place from June 1-6, 2008 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

You have a good heart Clement. There is nothing better for a student than to have a lecturer who is supportive. Well, I would love to hear your thoughts on what David Mkwambisi has written here: http://www.nyasatimes.com/index.php?news=1354
I must add that your blog is fantastic. Especially I like how concise your postings are.
Thanks. I agree with David entirely.I will not comment further because its a long story worthy a series of posts. But Brain drain is the consequence:(
